Hats off to Foxtel

We have been trying to quit foxtel for 6 months and they have done a stellar job in trying to keep us. We had postponed the re-installation a bunch of times and they had been very accommodating. Every time I tried to leave they used their considerable sales training to say things like:

Why do you want to leave - has there been a problem?



What if we were able to get you the channels that you want at a price that you thought was reasonable?



It was good to be on the end of this type of behaviour as we train our sales force to say the same thing. Good to see what it felt like.

Dear Foxtel, I appreciated your efforts but you are still way over-priced for the junk that you broadcast (think 24 hours of MASH re-runs) and the fact that you sold out your user base by introducing ads. At the moment we can't justify $80 per month, but thanks for the memories.

    didnt you find the gem that is entourage via foxtel though? i dont have it - so i dont know what i'm missing, but maybe its just the off season? what about all the new US shows that you can tell us about. it works well where you pay for it first and then we just hear about the good ones
